Special March Events at West End Seniors’ Network
March 2017 – Helping Hearts Campaign
WESN delivers services to over a thousand seniors in our community every year, many of whom are frail or isolated. You can make a difference for only $25, $50, $100, or more for the many seniors who call the West End home. We are hoping to reach $10,000 by March 1st, so any donation would be much appreciated. Thank you for your generous support.

The goal of this group is to use learning English as a tool to increase inclusion of these ESL participants. Volunteers should be committed and compassionate. Training will be provided.
- Monday Receptionists – Volunteers who are patient, friendly, and fluent in English welcome members and newcomers to Barclay Manor, answer questions, make coffee, and answer the phone. Available shifts: Monday from 9:30 AM – 12:30 PM and Monday from 12:30 PM – 4:00 PM.
- Medical Accompaniment – Volunteers accompany clients (either walking, pushing them in their wheelchair, on the bus, taking a taxi or Handydart) to their appointments and return them safely home afterwards. Volunteers are reliable, physically fit and friendly.
