Support your local art community with every $100 artwork you buy!
We are thrilled to host the 19th Anonymous Art Show showcasing original artwork from emerging and established artists. 389 local artists have created over 800 original artworks for the North Van Art’s annual festive fundraiser. CityScape Community ArtSpace will be transformed into a kaleidoscopic world of wonderment comprised of hundreds of small 8” x 8” canvases, come and find your favorite, and support your local art community with every artwork you buy. The proceeds from this festive fundraiser provide significant support to ongoing North Van Arts’ programmes and projects while also showcasing local artists in the community. The artists remain anonymous until their work sells for $100 each, with the artist and North Van Arts each sharing 50% of the sale. Once a painting is purchased, it is removed from the wall and replaced with a sold tag, revealing the artist’s name.
The exhibition will be installed at CityScape Community ArtSpace, with in-person preview and exhibition viewing with purchasing remaining exclusively online.
View artwork online or in person.

Calls for art submissions
Museum of Vancouver
Submission Deadline: Thursday, December 1, 2022
The Museum of Vancouver, in collaboration with Propellor Studio, invites local designers and makers to submit design concepts for the upcoming Reclaim + Repair: the Mahogany Project exhibition at the Museum of Vancouver.
About the exhibition
Reclaim + Repair: the Mahogany Project, a feature exhibition at the Museum of Vancouver, will celebrate the creativity and craft of Vancouver’s design community while engaging with questions central to the role of design in advancing sustainability as well as social and environmental justice.
A diverse group of both emerging and seasoned local designers and makers will be selected to create objects made from vintage mahogany provided by the Museum. The exhibition will feature a wide array of design objects from furniture, lighting, and household objects, to jewelry, instruments and so much more. We encourage you to submit your ideas – we’re excited to see what you will make with this extraordinary material.
The exhibition will open in July 2023 and run until the summer of 2024. During the Mahogany Projects’ run, the MOV will program a number of events highlighting the work created for the exhibition and it’s relation to central themes in the exhibition such as materials sourcing, circular economy, and reparations for past extraction practices.
Works created by designers for the show will be for sale. A portion of the sales will be donated to support Indigenous-led reforestation efforts in Nicaragua and Guatemala, where the mahogany was extracted in the last century.
