THE WEST END SENIORS’ NETWORK USES OUR PROCEEDS TO FUND:
More than 30 social, recreational and educational programs and practical support services designed for seniors age 55+ who live in Vancouver’s West End.
These include:
- Weekly shopping service for home-bound seniors
- Friendly visitors for home-bound seniors
- Income tax assistance for home-bound seniors
- Safety Line calls
- Senior Peer Counselling
- Info & Referral service
- Monthly newsletter
- High quality thrift shop
- Volunteer opportunities for seniors
- Free senior-focused Strawberry Festival
- Drop-in space for socialization and coffee
- Monthly special events with music & lunch
- Over 30 recreational, wellness and educational activities
